We're the same here at Zipp, which is why we've put all of our expertise into the 808 Firecrest® Track Tubular. Track racing calls for stiff, responsive, aero wheels that accelerate quickly and maintain velocity. At just 1,805g the 808 Track wheelset is tuned for speed with our pro-proven 82mm Firecrest rim shape for superior aerodynamics, stiffness and stability. But we didn’t stop our innovations at the rim.
At the heart of this wheelset is our 333 track hubset. Designed from the ground up for the rigors of track racing, this impressively light weight hubset combines with Sapim CX-Ray spokes (20 front, 24 rear), Sapim secure-lock nipples, and our 808 Firecrest rim to deliver unparalleled stiffness to satisfy even the most powerful track racers. Oversized hub bearings and axles work together to produce a wheelset with superior load carrying capacity and bombproof reliability. The 333 hubshell also incorporates industry leading aerodynamics and asymmetrical hub flanges on the rear hub for balanced spoke tension, immediate acceleration and flawless tracking through turns.

ABLC™ (Aerodynamic Boundary Layer Control)
Advanced Boundary Layer Control (ABLC) refers to the patented and instantly recognizable dimpled pattern found on all of our carbon rims. ABLC smoothes airflow across the rim's surface and is tailored to every model from the 202 to the Super-9 Disc. The third-generation of ABLC has up to four times more dimples than before.
Carbon Bridge uses a Kevlar® thread in a co-axial helix stitch to bind sheets of carbon to each other in our tubular rims. Because Kevlar is 350% more impact resistant than carbon, it can disperse shock more evenly throughout the carbon laminate, making for a rim that is practically bulletproof. In particular, Carbon Bridge reduces the vulnerability of the rim's tire bed, the area most susceptible to damage from impact.
