Zipp Speed Weaponry, a High-tech Bicycle Component Company located in Indianapolis, that provides products to the Cycling & Triathlon Industry, is looking for conscientious self starters to join our motivated team in one of the following positions:

- Design Engineers
- Process Engineer
- Engineering Technician

Design Engineers

Requirements for the position are a 4 year Mechanical Engineering degree with 3-5 years experience designing and developing parts for mass production. Knowledge of machining, forging, extrusion, and welding processes and how these processes affect part properties and design is key to this position. Must be proficient with CAD software (Pro-E preferred), have knowledge of Six Sigma principles, and we prefer experience working within ISO certified quality management systems and working with carbon composite materials.

Major responsibilities for this position include the ability to take designs for completely new products from concept to mass production working within a defined schedule and developing the tests needed to verify and validate products and processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing associated manufacturing processes and equipment as needed.

Process Engineer

Responsibilities include design, development, and installation of equipment, fixtures, and processes to improve quality and capacity at every level of manufacturing. Must be able to identify problems, develop solutions, and document work instructions. Candidate will also work with design engineer to put processes in place once testing is done.

The ideal candidate would have a BS in Mechanical Engineering and 3-5 years of experience. Must also be CAD software proficient (Pro-E preferred), have experience implementing lean principles, working within ISO-certified quality management systems, and working with Six Sigma principles.

Engineering Technician

The purpose of this position is to build wheels for developmental projects and to test wheels from customer returns, diagnose failures, and report findings and results. Candidate will need to have a minimum of a 2 year technical degree along with the ability to create drawings and specify tolerances. Must haves for the position are experience with bicycle assembly and repair, equipment controls, design and machining of work-holding fixtures. Experience in developing carbon composite lay-ups is desired. Good written and verbal communication skills are a must. In addition, candidates must be able to communicate information about product requirements to manufacturing staff, test and review product pilot runs, and interface with customers and teams to gather product feedback. Position also requires being a wheel specialist at promotional events and product launches. The ability to train end-users and fellow technicians about wheel features and service techniques is also a must. Some travel will be required.
